MISSION STATEMENT

Our aim is to support front line actions and provide relief for lāhui.

Our team has been the core organizers for the 'Onipa'a Peace March and Rally since 2020. We provide education and awareness regarding the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom as well as perpetuating cultural practices. 'Onipa'a makes people aware of Hawai'i's true political status, how colonialism, indoctrination and generational trauma that continues to affect Kanaka today. We promote the resilience of our people and present the different paths and political statuses to move forward. Attendance has reached over 10,000 and we have fed over 3,000.

We have provided 'aina education for 'opio and others, teaching them to malama aina, to be self-sustainable and about food sovereignty. We give them an opportunity to learn about growing their own food which fosters pride, self-sustainability and economic relief for their 'Ohana.

We have hosted and facilitate various workshops, depending upon community need at the time. Workshops include, but not limited to, weaving niu, lei making, Kuleana lands, genealogy and the protection of Iwi Kupuna. Workshops encourage lahui bonding, perpetuating cultural practices and protection of Hawaiian cultural issues.

To empower the Lāhui through education, advocacy and mālama ‘āina. To provide relief efforts in time of need.
